The Department of Transportation’s freight transportation services index rose 0.8% in March from the same month last year, DOT said Wednesday.
The freight TSI slipped by the same amount, 0.8%, from February to a reading of 109.4.

With improve in the services index the DOT freight transport also improve their services also.
Well, the DOT freight transportation index has seen an incremental increase of about 3.5% from the same time last year….so things are improving. BUT, they can always get better. The economy is slowly gaining momentum, and the markets gaining confidence, and the index seems to be mirroring those movements. A common sentiment among our fleet clients is cautious optimism.
