“It’s not about embracing technology anymore… It’s about *Mastering* it” – Clyde DeSouza
“Small” can be considered a
holy grail in the world of GPS technology. In the past, size… specifically too much of it, has hindered countless practical applications for GPS. Recent history is littered with examples
of “smaller” representing insurmountable challenges in
receiver advancements, battery chemistry limitations, reliable communications, and
the list goes on. Despite the fact that this breakthrough currently stands as a prediction “based on findings”, the reputation and resume of the parties involved precedes them, and gives us confidence in expressing some excitement.
Is a Quantum Leap in GPS Technology on the Horizon? Rockwell Collins and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) have, together, placed us on the precipice of a game-changer in GPS technology. At the very least, we owe a debt of gratitude to these two tech giants for helping to shape a new future for GPS. The possibilities really are endless!
