The Complete ComTrac™ Solution

A ComTrac™ device is installed into each vehicle and keeps track of the vehicle's precise location, speed and direction, and records & reports additional vital information. By pre-selecting parameters (10,5,or 1 second tracking updates), clients decide the circumstances under which a vehicle will report. This information is forwarded to ComTrac™ System Online, where clients can view the activities of their vehicle/s on digitized maps by using the Internet. In addition, the client can utilize ComTrac™ System OnLine to carry out control functions. For example, a vehicle can be remotely disabled or enabled and the doors can be unlocked with the point and click of a mouse. ComTrac™ places the power of these capabilities and many more in the hands of its clients.

ComTrac combines five advanced technologies to deliver one integrated solution: computing intelligence; the Global Positioning System (GPS); wireless communications; digitized mapping; and, the Internet.

The Global Positioning

System (GPS)

GPS is a constellation of 24

satellites that orbit the earth.

These satellites are continuously transmitting data to the GPS receiver integrated into the ComTrac™ device, which determines a latitude and longitude "fix" and also calculates the difference in "fixes" to immediately calculate

speed, direction & distance.

Vehicle Fleets

A ComTrac™ device is installed into each vehicle.  A computer

processor, GPS receiver, and wireless transceiver are integrated into each unit.  The ComTrac™ device and ComTrac™ System OnLine communicate via wireless networks.

ComTrac™ System OnLine

ComTrac™ System OnLine is housed within ComTrac's™ Network Operations Center. It is the nucleus of the ComTrac™ Solution.  In essence, it is the computing intelligence that captures information and facilitates its flow.  It manages all of the communications between the ComTrac™ device and clients via the internet.  This powerful system is capable of managing the largest of fleets with full security for each vehicle.

ComTrac™ Clients

Clients can access information about their vehicles "LIVE" by communicating with ComTrac™ System OnLine.  Using a standard Internet browser, ComTrac™ System OnLine incorporates a windows-based graphical user interface (GUI) and digitized mapping, which provides an easy-to-use look & feel.  Pull-down menus and quick-buttons give rapid access to the main functions of the system.
