What is the EasyTracGPS™/ComTrac™ Solution?
Through EasyTracGPS, ComTrac™ combines the power of a satellite-based real time GPS tracking system and wireless networking to give you the ability to track and monitor your mobile assets from any computer connected to the Internet. The ComTrac™ system consists of a rugged real time GPS tracking device and wireless modem that transmits accurate GPS coordinates to the ComTrac™ server. Then, authorized users can access that data on any internet-enabled PC using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later. Location and path information is available in map form, also in a variety of print-ready report formats.
How Does A GPS Tracking System Work?
GPS stands for Global Positioning System. The GPS tracking system has a small antenna that receives signals from a constellation of GPS satellites. Using the timing of signal reception from multiple satellites, the device calculates its own position, speed and elevation. GPS satellite signals are transmitted free of charge by the U.S. Government. GPS tracking systems come in all shapes and sizes suitable for boating, wilderness hiking and other outdoor activities. The EasyTracGPS™/ComTrac™ real time GPS tracking system combines a GPS receiver with a wireless modem. The radio transmits GPS-calculated positions back over a wireless network. Location and course data is then uploaded to the ComTrac™ web site. Authorized users monitor vehicle movement on maps and reports displaying route information, stop location/ duration and other valuable information.
Is the EasyTracGPS™/ComTrac™ solution appropriate for any size of fleets?
Yes. ComTrac™ requires no up-front investment in servers or software, so the ComTrac™ service is equally cost-effective for one to one million!
Is ComTrac™ map and report information real-time?
Almost. The in-vehicle ComTrac™ "LIVE" GPS tracking system transmits GPS position data to the ComTrac™ servers, which in turn gives position updates every 10 seconds. This provides location updates in a virtual "LIVE" fashion, while avoiding the data-overload problems that typically come with inferior servers. The ComTrac™ web site maps display asset position as updates are received. So, for the first time in the history of commercial GPS tracking applications, location data can be virtually "LIVE"!
What hardware and/or software do I need to use my EasyTracGPS™/ComTrac™ solution?
The hardware consists of a small hardware unit installed in each mobile or fixed asset you want to track. Negligible power - drawn from the vehicle's own electrical system - is used. The hardware unit includes an integrated real time GPS tracking device and antenna, plus a wireless data radio connected to a cellular antenna. Software is a secure suite of web pages, that we provide, accessible to authorized users only, available on any PC running Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later. No other hardware or software is required.

How and when we Ship
We ship most packages within 24 to 48 hours by DHL, UPS or FedEx Ground (3-7 Day). This allows them to be tracked and insured for loss or damage. If you would like us to ship by a faster method, you can select this option when you finish your order. DHL, UPS & FedEX don't ship or deliver on weekends or holidays.
